Ready to train like the Mighty Georgian Weightlifters?

This training program was developed by coach and Georgian team member Tornike Todadze and honed by Benson Robles. We combined the preparation methods of one of the best teams in the world with the experience of a seasoned American athlete to create a program suitable for the Western athlete.

This program is intended for intermediate to advanced athletes; the volume and intensity imposed being quite substantial. A minimum of 1.5 years of weightlifting or CrossFit experience is recommended before starting this program.

The complete cycle takes place over 12 weeks/3 months, and each month has different objectives and focuses.

PHASE 1 (Weeks 1-4): Preparation. Building a solid strength foundation. The majority of the work is focused on volume with aggressive percentages in the strength movements (squats and pulls). Technique work with the olympic lifts is maintained with intermediate percentages and many repetitions to promote good position.

PHASE 2 (Weeks 5-8): Accumulation. Technique and speed is the priority while the relative intensity is regulated with a plethora of variation in the olympic lifts.

PHASE 3 (Weeks 9-12): Realization. The time to lift heavy and hit new PRs.
